Shingles have been around for many years and have been an
alternative for roofing since before we can remember. Shingles are
one of the lowest costs yet dependable alternatives to a high
quality roof system.

shingles come in a variety of choices from a list of suppliers.
We
personally suggest Certainteed, Tamko, GAF and Owens Corning but
ultimately its the home owner who selects according to pricing and
color.
We
have over 23 years of experience installing these products.
The
Steps for installing a new shingle roof:
Step
1
Contact
LR Home Solutions via email or phone
Make
arrangements for a scheduled consultation and general needs
assessment. Normally this requires about 1-2 hrs of your time and
can be scheduled around your busy day in most cases.
Step
2
Your
estimator will then determine your square footage and advise you of
the various materials available. Most home owners already have a
specific goal and that is to just replace the roof.
Step
3
Advising
home owner of all manufacture's quality and color options,
specifications and warranties.

Pricing
agreements are met and understood.
We
then provide detailed documentation completing the roof replacement
with overall costs using specified materials and listed options.
Step
4
Moving
forward with the replacement:
Standard
scope of work for most roof replacements in the Dallas
Ft Worth area
Protect
windows, yard, pool and landscaping as needed.
Remove
existing roof to roof truss system
Install
owners choice OSB or CDX 1/2" plywood, radiant
barrier is an option that should be offered
Install
30 lb felt
Install
25-30 or 40 year Composition Shingles according to
manufacturers specifications
Install
new lead collars on all plumbing stacks
Tie
in existing HVAC stack
Re
work and or replace all step flashings, valleys, counter
flashings
Replace
and secure new .24 counter flashings on chimney as
needed
Caulk,
Secure and Paint all roof penetrations as required
Clean
up and haul away all debris on a daily basis
Provide
5 year labor warranty
Provide
Manufacturers material warranty

items may or may not be included. This is only the basic shingle
replacement scope of work for a residential roof.
Step
5
The
Roof Gets Completed. Most jobs can be completed with in 1-2 days.
Scheduling is communicated through the material suppliers, the Job
Site Supervisor and home owner.
Step
6
Our
inspectors visually inspect and insures over all job quality,
insures all specifications are met. Insuring the yard and
landscaping was well protected and thoroughly cleaned. Insuring the
yard and driveway were magnetically swept. Insuring home owners
complete satisfaction.
Step
7
Invoicing
and Warranty information. We will provide you with all warranty
information.
