Mold ruined this 50 year cypress cedar shake roof with in just 10 years. Due to the lack of sun light being in a heavily shaded area. This Cedar roof stood no chance to survive with out regular maintenance.

We chose a 20 oz copper double lock standing seam to insure this roof would never need replaced again. Each pan was to full length with no seams other than the skylight tie-ins. We used 50 ft rolls to pull are longest length pan of 32ft.

Each piece of copper was hand crafted from Copper Coils 20oz. As seen below. Seams are manufactured to stand after double locking 1/4 inch bends, a min 1" high. A double lock standing seam copper roof will last 100 years and increase value to your home.

The original log cabin house was dated 200 years ago and had been re-done and re-done again back in the 80s. Additional rooms were built on using the cypress cedar shakes. We were called in an offered the only roof we knew would last the test of time. A true historically hand crafted double lock copper standing seam metal roof!

The copper pans had to be centered to the Velux skylights. We didn't want a seam to hit a corner of the skylight. This allowing water to flow around the skylights and not being a water trap. Dont sound hard until you say 6 skylights across the front? Thanks Velux!@

Each skylight had to be completely made of copper instead of the normal painted galvanized kits Velux offers. We were able to manufacture on our Tamko Bender, each piece needed to replace the skylight flashing kit. Each screw had to be replaced with brass and all copper corners soldered.
